I just arrived back from a Worship Leading retreat. It was a blast! I really enjoyed it. I learned a whole lot of important iformation, met some cool people, and reconciled with God. The retreat was in Lincoln, Illinois. We sat through seminars for two days. It was really cool.
I got to know my friends better, too. God is amazing. This saying from the retreat really explains what our lives are really for:
                               God IS; Therefore I worship.

I was just thinking........
Let me start with a fact. Time is Linear; it has a beginning and an end. Then why does time seem fluid? Why does one moment seem to freeze, and another moment fly by? The changes are not in time, but our perception of it.
Time. There never seems to be enough of it. Young people want time to speed up. When they grow old.....er, there never seems to be enough. Time seems to disappear when we are having fun, yet it drags on, the clock seeming to stop, when something is unpleasant or boring. We notice the time passing when our attention is unoccupied more than when we are fully absorbed in an activity that we enjoy.
In truth time keeps evaporating. The saying, "Time waits for no one" is all too true. Our time should be used well; not squandered on petty things. Having fun is one thing. I am all for filling time with things that we enjoy doing, but wasting time is stupid.
There is always something you can to to make your time productive. So get out there and do it.

Melody

Well here we go.  How about a story? Something spontanious, and soul-warming.
In the Land of Martos, there was a girl with an unusual gift. When she was born the girl recieved a spell from an elf. Melody, as her mother named her, grew into a beautiful young girl with an angelic voice. Every Christmas the people of her village would gather to hear her sing.
Melody's clear and soothing voice would ring through the crisp air, like a rich fragrance.  Rivels and friends alike would put aside their diferences and quarrels and sit together to listen as Melody would weave intricate tales of grand adventure and peril, love and joy, sorrow and sadness. The soothing tones that flowed from the young girls slender throat would even heal illness. All of the villagers, young and old, loved Melody and she was welcome in every home.
Then trajedy struck. In the fall of Melody's 13 year, the home of one of Melody's neighbors caught fire. Melody and her family rushed over to help. Hearing a baby cry, Melody rushed intothe burning house. By the time her mother noticed she had gone, Melody was already within the blazing home.
Many agonizing seconds went by. Then, a few more. Suddenly Melody burst out of the burning house. Her clothes were burning, and she was clutching something to here chest. Her parents rushed to her, followed by several other people. In Melody's arms was a crying girl.
Melodies couragious act saved the life of that little child, But it cost her dearly. Melody's  face and arms were severly burned; her hair was completly burned away. Worst of all, Melody's throat was burned. Her voice would never be the same.  When Melody spoke, her voice rasped like scrapping steel. She never again sang healing songs, never brought joy through song. By her twentieth birthday, Melody's bones had twisted severly.
Through all this, Melody never complained. Watching the little girl whose life she had saved sustained her. She never regreted going into that raging fire. Moreover, She found joy through the young girl's life.
Through her life Melody brought joy to the whole village. Nothing could stop her joy for long.

How should this story end? Let me hear some thoughts on whatthe conclution to Melody's story.

So this is xanga? I'll check it out.
